About LibFAST Service

LibFAST is a Faculty Academic SupporT service to address queries and questions you may have on library-related matters pertaining to your teaching and research needs such as:

Setting up your course reserves
Recommendation for database or journal subscriptions
Embedding library instruction in your course
Advisory and consultation on systematic literature searches
Permitted use of copyrighted works in your course material development
Data management planning and academic profile
Access and use of library resources, services and spaces
Any other matters

This service will connect you directly to the LibFAST team consisting of senior librarians and information experts from the NTU Library Academic Engagement Team and the LKCMedicine Medical Library. Your query will be personally managed by one of the team members, who will respond to your query within the next working day or earlier, and who will also be your primary contact till the completion and closure of your query.

LibFAST Service
A faculty connect service by NTU Library for your teaching and research needs.
Library Orientation
We conduct one-to-one orientation for new faculty to give them an overview of the library resources and services that will come in handy for their teaching and research. Please feel free to contact us if you would like to have an orientation of NTU Library.
NTU CourseReserves
NTU CourseReserves is a collaborative, cloud-based course resource list solution that is managed by the library. Using the platform, you can add books, e-books, videos and journal articles from the library’s collection as well as open-access resources and websites to your Reading List.
Literature Search Consultation
The Literature Search Consultation is a service by NTU Library, where our librarians will liaise with you, via online and/or face-to-face, to help with your literature search for your assignment, project or research
Systematic Search Services
A. Systematic Search Advisory
Get expert advice from a librarian on search strategy development and resource selection for systematic reviews (up to 3 hours consultation).
B. Systematic Search Collaboration
Collaborate with librarians on formulation of research question, search strategy development and validation, database searching and syntax translation, citation export and reporting of search methods for reproducibility. Co-authorship is welcome.
Research Impact
Research metrics are quantitative measurements designed to evaluate research outputs and their impacts. Metrics include a variety of measures and statistical methods for assessing the quality and broader impact of scientific and scholarly research. Traditionally, the research impact of a researcher is measured by the number of publications he or she has published in peer-reviewed journals, the citation counts his or her papers have received, and the researcher’s H-index. These metrics are usually gathered from citation databases such as Web of Science, Scopus and Google Scholar.
Research Data Management
Research data management refers to all aspects of creating, housing, delivering, maintaining, archiving and preserving research data. It is one of the essential areas of responsible conduct of research.

Blogs@NTU is a platform managed by the Office of Knowledge, Information & Library Services for the Nanyang Technological University community.
