James is a Senior Librarian in the Academic Engagement Team. He is passionate about good user experience designs, effective information literacy programmes, and information-seeking behaviour.
James joined Nanyang Technological University (NTU) Library in October 2023. Prior to that, he had worked at NUS Libraries, Yale-NUS College Library, and the National Institute of Education (NIE) Library, with an emphasis on information literacy interventions, reference services, institutional archival systems, as well as taking on multiple administrative roles for library systems and portals.
As part of his professional development, James traveled to Yale University (New Haven, Connecticut) in 2022 for 5 weeks as a Visiting Librarian to expand his knowledge of subject librarianship, information literacy, and special collections. Before entering the library industry, James began his career as a Graduate Associate with OCBC Bank under the OCBC Young Bankers Programme.
