About Course Reserves

Reserves, or commonly referred to as red-spot books or RBR (recommended book room) titles, refers to the list of core readings recommended by your course lecturers.

Things you need to know:

  • You can only borrow one reserve book at one time.
  • The loan period is 2 hours.
  • Reserve books are identifiable by the red spot on the book spine.
  • They are borrowed using the self-service machines within the Reserves section.
  • Overdue fines are set at $0.50 per hour.

The NTU Library OneSearch has a list of course reserve (RBR) titles which can be searched by Course Name, ID, or Instructor.

Search for your course reserves by limiting your search to 'Reserves'.

Alternatively, you can search more specifically Course Name, Course ID, etc. by using the Advanced Search option and selecting Course Reserves under 'Search for'.
