When should you re-authorize NTU to collect and use your ORCID iD and record data for NTU research systems?
This is for situations where you had already authorized NTU to link to your ORCID but NTU does not appear as a trusted party in your ORCID. In this case, you should re-authorize NTU again.
Do check that the visibility setting of your ORCID profile is set to "everyone" before re-authorizing. If the visibility of the ORCID profile name is set to to “private” or “trusted parties”, the system will not be able to find the name. Hence, it will affect the re-authorization.
Log in to the NTU ORCID web application https://apps.ntu.edu.sg/OrcidWebApp/
Click the Re-authorization Tab on the top row menu.
Read the instructions before clicking on “Proceed to Re-authorize”.
When the pop-up box below appears, click “OK”.
You will then be brought back to ORCID to perform the granting of the rights to NTU.
If prompted, click on the “Sign In” link to sign into your ORCID.
Once done, you will return to the Acknowledgement page with a new ORCID expiry date.
Next, login to your ORCID https://orcid.org/ and go to Trusted parties
You should see NTU as one of the entities under Trusted parties
