On a scale from zero to ten, with zero being ‘never’ and ten being ‘always’, rank how frequently you consider the following aspects when you prepare slides for an oral presentation. The guide for scoring your choices can be found at the bottom, after the quiz.

Instructions for scoring

Add up your score for questions 1, 2, 3 and 6. If your score is 23 or less, then you should read Section 1: Formatting Your Slides. If you scored 24 or above, you can choose to skip this section, or you can read through it if you would like additional tips on formatting slides. 

Add up your score for questions 4, 5 and 7. If your score is 17 or less, then you should read Section 2: Writing and Formatting Text. If you scored 18 or above, you can choose to skip this section, or you can read through it if you would like additional tips on writing and formatting text. 

Add up your score for questions 9 and 10. If your score is 11 or less, then you should read Section 3: Choosing and Formatting Slide Visuals. If you scored 12 or above, you can choose to skip this section, or you can read through it if you would like additional tips on choosing and formatting slide visuals.
