In the emerging field of computational analysis of intangible cultural heritage, open research practices are indispensable. As computational methods increasingly shape research in the humanities, sharing code and data becomes essential for building upon previous findings and ensuring reproducibility. My work exemplifies this commitment to open research. "Theater as Data" (University of Michigan Press, 2021), published as an Open Access monograph, stands as one of the first comprehensive studies exploring the application of computational methods for historical and comparative studies of the performing arts. The accompanying code and data are freely accessible on the publisher's website, facilitating further research, using these materials in teaching, and validation of results. Beyond this book, I consistently share code, data, and machine learning models on platforms like GitHub and Hugging Face for other projects. This approach not only promotes transparency but also fosters collaboration and accelerates progress in our discipline. By making research outputs openly available, we contribute to a more robust and interconnected scholarly ecosystem, ultimately advancing our understanding of intangible cultural heritage through computational lenses.
