The NTU Copyright Advisory Service provides guidance to the NTU community in traversing the complex landscape of copyright regulations, ensuring that access to copyrighted materials complies with Singapore law and that any use is legal and ethical. This library service, which started in 2022, serves the university community in a) reviewing copyright and copyright ownership, with an emphasis on course materials created by faculty, and b) providing a holistic management of copyright matters, including dealing with infringement of copyright. The centralisation of service in managing copyright for the NTU community has enabled NTU Library to emerge as the key department to take on copyright training and advisory matters and be an initiator to resolve copyright infringement.
The NTU Copyright Advisory Service team has adopted a three-tier copyright service model to support copyright needs across the university.
