Meryl Chin is a Librarian with NTU Library's Open Science and Research Services team. Her responsibilities include supporting open science initiatives and the provision of bibliometric and research data management support services.
Meryl’s advocacy for lifelong learning began in 2014 with the National Library Board (NLB) where the budding librarian was involved in the development and delivery of library and information services and programmes for children and teens. She was also a member of the NLB Internal Panel of Book Reviewers.
Thereafter, in 2019, she served as a Film Librarian for library@esplanade proliferating performing arts literacy through programmes, exhibitions, and other initiatives, and oversaw the selection, maintenance, and appraisal of the film collection including physical resources and eVideo databases.
Academia beckoned, and Meryl answered by joining Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) Library as a User Services Librarian in 2023. She developed several policies, procedures, and standards for library operations and circulation and launched the University’s first physical library space.
Meryl joined Nanyang Technological University (NTU) Library in March 2024.
