Staff Profile: Noverinda Bella Ratmelia


Bella is a Librarian from NTU Library's Advisory & Consultation Team. She is a liaison librarian for the College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences, and works closely with faculty and students from the School of Social Sciences, as well as the School of Art, Design, and Media.

Professional Experience, Specialisation & Memberships

After a brief 18 months stint as a game developer, Bella joined NTU Library in 2013 as a Library Executive, responsible for managing blogs@NTU platform. She was also involved in several related projects such as libres e-journal and numerous course blogs. She progressed to be an Assistant Librarian in 2015, and took on dual role as new media librarian and engineering librarian.

Bella is an active member of the Library Association of Singapore (LAS) since 2016. She has served as a member of LAS Infocomm and Technology Committee from 2017 to 2019. She is serving as LAS Council member as the Committee chair for Infocomm and Technology since 2019. 

Honours, Awards & Achievements

Bella is a recipient of Library School Scholarship awarded by Library Association Singapore (LAS) in 2018.

Skills & Interests

Bella has 3 years worth of experience with front-end web development and WordPress. Her professional interests include readings in social sciences, arts, humanities, and user experience methods. She has also volunteered as conference organizer for WordCamp Singapore, a community-driven WordPress conference, in 2016, 2017, and 2019. 

Her personal interests include reading and reviewing books, playing video games (single player and MMO), and visiting galleries.
